Acoustic Rafts for a Church in Surrey

Sound Acoustic panels installed in church

Godalming Baptist Church contacted Silente design driven acoustics looking for quality acoustic products to help with their un-wanted noise and sound issues. It starts with one of our consultants visiting the client and having a look at their space and environment. After finding out what was happening with the sound, we then chat to them about the size want, shape, colour and positioning. Finding the ideal placement for these acoustic hanging rafts is important, This is a big part of acoustic solutions, Sound bounces around the environment creating echo and reverberation,

Silente helps with work and to concentrate.

After multiple quotations they settled with Silente Acoustics products to help with the sound issues they have been having. At the end they opted for our white Silente 24mm circle acoustic rafts that are suspended from the ceiling with our suspension kits. Silente Rafts acoustic panel range has been designed to a very specific density to achieve the correct acoustic performance. The panels are available in 24mm thickness, and in 17 different colours.

The actual acoustic rafts core material is a compressed polyester using post-consumer plastic bottle,

“Yes that’s right, plastic bottles”. Which creates Polyester/PET. Recycling is important in today’s world if we want to leave this planet for our future generations. It is good for the environment, since we are making new products from the old products which are of no use to us. It’s really important for products to be recycled and to be recyclable which is just as important, as you don’t want to sit with a product that can’t be recycled, Polyester is recyclable. Silente acoustics have a wide range of acoustic products for you choose from! At the end of the day our client chose a nice clean white round acoustic raft panel that fitted in seamlessly. They did not want the acoustic panels to be to obvious or an eyesore, sometimes simplicity is best, it was sound problem they had. Once all the paper work had been processed and they were ready for us, it was up to us to deliver, with us been a sound acoustics manufacture. When it came to this job, the lead times was 2-3 working days to get ready for our client, and a day to hang. this job took and week from phone call to hanging, ready for their next service. For most of our products depending on quantity, 3-4 working days lead time seems to our standard. If we can’t meet this someone will make contact. We had a phone call saying they still up and the the client is very happy with his acoustic rafts.
